State Graduation Rate Drops Slightly

According to data released by the Wyoming Department of Education, graduation rates in Wyoming dropped slightly in 2011-2012, as the graduation rate of 78.89 percent is down from the 2010-11 rate of 79.74 percent. Of the state’s 48 school districts, 34 maintained a graduation rate of 80 percent or higher. Wyoming Department of Education Interim Director Jim Rose.

Rose says that the issue has to be addressed at just more than the high school level.

While the state experienced a slight drop in graduation rates, Sheridan High School improved to a 86.46 percent rate compared to the year previous, which was 81.47 percent. Click here to view the graduation rates for every School District in Wyoming as well as each individual school.
