Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook told the city council at their last meeting that he had received notification from the Wyoming State Engineer's Office that they would like to perform inspections on dams in the state.
Hook said he would like to have Tie Hack Dam
Hook explained that he has been aware of the erosion problem on the downstream portion of the dam since divers noticed it when they retrieved stolen property below the dam spillway earlier this year.
If Tie Hack is chosen as one to be inspected, he said the design engineer would be on hand to see what extent of damage has occurred at the dam.
The council voted to allow him to write a proposal to the State Engineer's Office for the inspection on the dam.
