Secretary of State Max Maxfield announced today that the State Canvassing Board has certified the 2014 Primary Election results. The official results of the state canvass are available on the Secretary of State’s website at http://soswy.state.wy.us

Maxfield reported that his office has notified the two write-in candidates who received the most votes and met the 25-vote minimum. Those individuals have five days to accept the nomination.

The write-in candidates who are offered nominations are: Linda Fleming of Baggs, Democratic candidate, Senate District 11, and Harlan Edmonds, Cheyenne, Republican candidate, House District 12.

Maxfield said, “The names of candidates who will appear on the General Election ballot will be determined as soon as all write-in candidates have notified this office of their acceptance or refusal of the nomination.”

According to state statute, September 4 is the last day for the Secretary of State to certify the list of names for the General Election ballot to each county clerk.

When all information is available, the names of candidates who will appear on the General Election ballot will be posted on the Secretary of State’s website at http://soswy.state.wy.us
