The second of two candidate forums hosted by the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce was held Wednesday night at the Sheridan College C-TEL. The forum included candidates for Wyoming Governor, State Auditor, Superintendent of Public Instruction, U.S. Representative, and State Representative for House Districts 30, 40, and 51.
Questions from the audience ranged from support of the 2nd, and 17th amendments, to a fuel tax, and of course the state budget and the economy. While not all of the candidates were in attendance, those that were offered up a wide range of opinions and platforms, and answered questions from the audience. We had a chance to get the reaction of a couple of people who came out for the forum.
The Primary Election will take place Tuesday, August 17th. The polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm. There will be another candidate forum hosted by the Chamber of Commerce in October prior to the General Election November 2nd.
