The Wyoming Business Council recently reviewed guidelines for its Trade Show Incentive Program to create more clarity on eligible expenses.
The grant reimburses companies up to 50 percent of approved expenses to attend a show. The expenses could include event and booth fees, and the costs of transportation and event-specific marketing materials.
According to a release issued by the council, the program was created in 1998 and designed to help Wyoming companies promote their products at industry trade shows important to their business.
Recent changes to the program rules include: a confirmation process to ensure grant funds will be used and a guideline that clarifies when companies may use the grant to attend shows in cooperation with the business council.
Terri Barr, who manages the trade show grant, said the changes were put in place to help ensure that limited grant funds are distributed to as many eligible companies as possible.
Applications for the grant can be found online by going to the Wyoming Business Council website, which is – www.wyomingbusiness.org.
