The nation's largest one day food drive is set for this Saturday as the National Association of Letter Carriers annual food drive aims to “stamp out hunger”. Residents are asked to fill a plastic bag with non-perishable food items and set it by their mailbox on Saturday, May 11th for collection. Food may also be brought to your local Post Office. Wyoming Postal Spokesman David Rupert.
Since the annual postal food drive started in 1993, nearly a billion pounds of food have been collected by letter carriers and Post Offices to help feed the hungry. Post Offices in all 50 states are participating this year. Last year, Wyoming residents contributed a total of 158,000 pounds.
