An artist's reception was held for Brent Spink at the library and Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott was on hand and brings us this report.
Brent Spink lives in the Wolf Mountains near Busby, Montana, and finds inspiration there for his impressionistic oil paintings. He describes his work.
Good doesn't say enough, his work is wonderful and Spink says painting is a meditative process.
Look...Smook...I had to ask just how does meditation and painting work together.
Okay, now this is getting a little bit too deep for me. Outside of your own consciousness, I have a hard enough time staying inside my own consciousness much less wandering outside of it. Spink does his best to explain.
I think I'm finally starting to get it. Spink says the area where he lives and works is a never ending inspiration for his landscapes.
Spink's work will be on display through the end of the month and hang both on the mezzanine and in the Inner Circle of the library.
