While the last 3rd Thursday Street Festival in downtown Sheridan is still several weeks away, it's not too early to get signed up for the Chilifest chili cook-off. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Janelle Anderson explains a few of the particulars of the contest.
Janelle explains that taking part in the competition and becoming a a member of the ICS has its benefits.
The categories for Chilifest include, Red Chili, Chili Verde, and Salsa. First prize is $200 for the Red Chili and Chili Verde categories and $100 for the Salsa category. This year's last 3rd Thursday Street Festival will be September 16. More information on the chili cook-off can be found online at the Chamber's website.
