Special Olympics Wyoming Summer Games are Underway

Earlier this week the Flame of Hope made its way through Sheridan on its way to Laramie for the 2012 Special Olympics Wyoming Summer Games, which got underway Wednesday. Carrie Pilcher is the Program Coordinator for the RENEW of Sheridan team, and she explains some of the events the local athletes will be participating in over the next few days.

Sports that are offered include track and field, swimming and diving, basketball, gymnastics and power lifting. The Special Olympics Wyoming Summer Games will conclude Saturday in Laramie.
