The Sheridan County Commissioners held a special meeting Friday to award the bid for the McCormick Road project. DCM Construction of Sheridan submitted the lowest bid and was awarded the project at just over $155,000. Sheridan County Engineer Ken Muller explains what the project to McCormick Road will consist of.
Muller says that the upgrades to the road have been a long time coming.
There were a total of four bids that ranged from $155,000 to $228,000. The project will be funded with monies from the Capital Facilities Tax. The County had applied for a grant through the state to fund the project, but was denied by the SLIB Board.
