South Park in Sheridan recently received some special recognition from the State of Wyoming. City of Sheridan Engineer Lane Thompson explains.
When the City acquired South Park in November of 2008, it was essentially 40 plus acres of undeveloped property within a natural flood plain. Today, South Park is home to part of the City's pathways system and a bridge that allows access to the park from south Sheridan avenue.
