Social issues have been the hot item this week in Cheyenne as legislators continue to tackle a number of controversial bills at the State Capital. Representative Rosie Berger gives us an update from some of Wednesday's action.
Other news from Wednesday, the House gave preliminary approval to a bill seeking to block the federal government from restricting assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in the state. Republican Rep. Kendell Kroeker of Evansville says his bill would get Wyoming's position on record in case the federal government imposes a new ban on assault rifles. It faces two more House votes before going to the Senate.
The Senate is scheduled to consider a bill today that would ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. The Senate Judiciary Committee recommended approval of the bill on Wednesday.
