This Weekend's Ice Show at the Sheridan Ice Rink will be remembered as the snowiest show in the team’s history.

Huge puffs of white falling from the sky didn’t stop the nine skaters from pulling out all the stops for their performances. Skaters of every level chose their own music for their creative performances, and the audience was treated to everything from classical technical pieces to modern-day pop songs and show tunes.
Kairstyn Holden, who has skated for 4 years, said she was surprised by the flurries because the sky was clear in the morning.

Sheridan’s team of skaters is the only one in the region that practices solely in an outdoor rink. This limits their practice season to the colder months of the year. Elizabeth Winnop said the weather certainly has an impact on her routine.

However, performing on the ice while snow piles up on the rink is an experience an indoor team never gets to have. The team is headed to Billings to compete inside next week.
