The City of Sheridan has announced that a snow route alert went into effect at 8 o'clock Friday evening to allow crews to clear the snow from the emergency snow routes. The snow alert will remain in effect until noon on Saturday. City Engineer Lane Thompson explains.
To avoid being ticketed or towed, the City asks that people move their vehicle from the snow route prior to 8 o'clock Friday. A media release issued by the City states that the Streets Department has been working diligently to plow the snow.
The operation from Sunday January 27th through January 30th, has resulted in 2325 miles of plowing, 126 tons of sand and ice slicer applied, 226 man hours worked, 246 equipment hours, and 5,952 cubic yard of snow hauled.
