Firearm Manufacturer Smith & Wesson is now a bronze sponsor of the Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt, which will be happening October 9th through the 12th in northeastern Wyoming.
The hunt is hosted and was created by the Wyoming Women's Foundation to promote camaraderie and mentorship through hunting while raising awareness and funds for the Foundation's mission to improve the economic self-sufficiency of women in Wyoming.
Female hunters of all experience levels are encouraged to attend the weekend event which emphasizes safe and responsible hunting.
During the guided hunts on both public and private lands near the Ranch at Ucross, more experienced hunters are teamed with those with little experience with hunting.
Smith & Wesson is proud to support the event, according to Stan Shiparski, Director of Retail Sales East for the company.
“Sponsoring this event not only raises funds for the Wyoming Women's Foundation, it also promotes women's involvement in the growing shooting sports industry,” he said.
Shelley Simonton, co-chair of the Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt Committee, said they are grateful for Smith & Wesson's continued sponsorship and ongoing support of women hunters.
She continued, “Hunting is one way women can bring nutritious, affordable meat home to their families, while experiencing more independence and self-sufficiency.”
