The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation invites the community to run or walk a 5K to support the advancement of wound care.
Kyle Rhone, Clinical Educator at the Sheridan Veterans Affairs Medical Center, is partnering with SMH to host the walk and a bigger symposium for medical providers in Northeast Wyoming.
Rhone said wound care can quickly become complicated by conditions like diabetes or infection, and treatment in these cases gets costly fast. That's why any money raised at the Walk for Wounds will go toward helping local people who are low on cash get the care they need.
Walkers and runners will meet Thursday night at 6 in the South Park parking lot, which is just off of East Brundage Lane. The event is family and pet friendly.
