The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board approved $8,717,055 million in Business Ready Community and Community Facilities grant applications at their meeting Thursday in Cheyenne. Of that nearly $9 million that was approved, $2 million will go toward the renovation of the Perkins Building into a Performing Arts & Education Center for Sheridan College students and residents of the community, as well as expansion of the WYO Theater.

Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young was a guest on Thursday's Public Pulse program on News Talk 930 KROE where he said that he looks forward to the collaboration with the WYO Theater.

Both the Community Development and Business Ready Community grants that were approved by the SLIB Board were in the amount of $ 1 million.
