With all the construction underway on Brundage Lane in Sheridan, it may be hard to notice the newest project. The Wyoming Department of Transportation is adding a traffic signal at the intersection of Brundage Lane and Sugarland Drive. WYDOT Public Involvement Specialist Ronda Holwell tells us why the light is being installed:
The work on the intersection will include a widening of the lanes to accommodate increased truck traffic on Sugarland Drive. Motorists should prepare for the fact that during construction there will be times when Brundage Lane is not accessible from Sugarland Drive. Southbound traffic on Sugarland will be detoured to Coffeen Avenue.
WYDOT expects to have the new signal finished and fully functional by the end of November. Funds for the project were appropriated several years ago when the need for the light was determined. The entire project including the curb and gutter replacement will be just under $350,000.
