The City of Sheridan is moving forward with a special improvement district for the Sheridan Commercial Park, as the Council this week approved a resolution showing the City's intent on creating the SID. City of Sheridan Public Works Director Nic Bateson says that a lot of behind the scenes work has gotten them where they are today.
The City recently received a $1 million grant from the state to provide infrastructure to the park. Bateson stated that there were several key merits that the state looked at when making a decision on the grant request.
Part of the settlement agreement that was agreed upon last year provides the City with three lots that will be used for economic development. The estimate of the total cost of the SID is $916,815 and will include improvements to the streets and storm drainage system.
