At Thursday night's meeting of the Sheridan County Fair Association Board of Trustees, facilities director at the fairgrounds, Jamie Ringley, presented a few projects that were approved by the board. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.
While presenting his director's report to the Sheridan County Fair Association Board of Trustees at Thursday's meeting, facilities director Jamie Ringley said the Sheridan High School Rodeo will once again returning to the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
Additionally, Ringley sought and received approval from the board to sell a Kiser DragMaster Arena Drag that was purchased for $20,000 last July. Ringley says this piece of equipment is not designed for arena work, and though it's in fine working order, he's exploring the idea of buying a new disc for footing work instead.
One of the most common suggestions he says he's heard from his meetings with the fairgrounds' many user groups is that water pressure at the facility needs to be increased from the stalls to the pens. Ringley says it's just a problem that needs to be resolved to serve the community.
Ringley says while the fairgrounds is upgrading facilities, it's all for the community's benefit.
