Sheridan Youth Baseball will hold an informational meeting/sign-up session beginning at 6 pm tonight at Sheridan Junior High School.
For those who may get a little confused, Mike McCafferty tells us that Sheridan Youth Baseball doesn't compete with but instead compliments Sheridan Recreation District Baseball.
McCafferty said that the ultimate goal of SYB is to work with the Rec. and with American Legion Baseball to bring the sport back into prominence in Sheridan.
Nine to 12-year-olds can sign up at 6:30 for Little League. Although separate from the Rec's Webb Right Baseball program, all Little League participants are required to sign up and play in Webb Wright ball. There will be Rec. personnel there tonight for sign-ups. The Babe Ruth meeting begins at 7 pm.
