State legislator, John Schiffer, received the Bettye Fahrenkamp Award for Distinguished Legislative Leadership from the Council of State Governments—West. The annual award recognizes state-level legislators whose work goes beyond their own state to benefit a wider area of western states.Rosie Berger, chairperson of CST West and also a state legislator for Sheridan, nominated Schiffer for the honor.
Schiffer has served in the Wyoming Senate since 1993.
