A request on behalf of Sheridan's Senior Center is on the list of 19 Business Ready Community recommendations that the Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board will consider on Thursday. The meeting starts at 8 o'clock in the Herschler Building in Cheyenne.
According to a release issued by the board, the senior center is seeking a half a million dollar senior care grant to finance construction of a new Day Break facility. The existing program is housed in the center's facilities on Smith Street.
The projects the state board will consider this week were recommended by the Wyoming Business Council board of directors at a meeting on May 29. The state business council administers the Business Ready Community program. The program provides financing for publicly owned infrastructure that serves the needs of businesses and promotes economic development and diversity within Wyoming communities.
