The Sheridan Recreation District approved a $1.2 million dollar budget for fiscal year 2012, which is down approximately $100,000 from last year. Rec. District Executive Director Richard Wright says that there have been several changes made within the District that have allowed them to keep the numbers down.
Wright explains that, budget cuts aside, they will continue to provide a high level of quality service that people have come to expect from the Rec. District's programs.
Wright said that they have also raised some of the fees for their programs to try and help offset their expenses, especially in the Parks Division.
