Volunteers of America Northern Rockies Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D. is a free week-long camp designed to benefit the most deserving fifth and sixth graders through direct involvement and mentoring with a variety of law enforcement and criminal justice professionals.

Thursday night VOA recognized a number of groups and individuals who've made the camp a success in Wyoming over the past decade. Officer John King with the Sheridan Police Department was honored for his involvement, as he's been a part of the camp since it began 10 years ago.

The camp is designed to not only establish positive bonds between the children and law enforcement and criminal justice professionals, but to also use that relationship to help reduce crime and the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.
