The Sheridan Police Department this week conducted their second of two annual alcohol compliance checks on local bars and liquor stores in the Sheridan area.
While there are some that say this type of enforcement borders on entrapment, that simply isn't the case, explains Sheridan Police Sergeant Tom Henry.
Henry explains that out of the 25 local establishments that they visited, there were a handful that failed the test, so to speak.
As far as what happens after a business has been cited?
Henry said that they receive grant money through the State that makes it possible for the Police Department to perform the compliance checks a couple of times annually.
