The Sheridan Police Department received a call from a concerned mother over the weekend regarding her ex-husband's failure to return the couple's 12-year-old daughter after a weekend visitation. Sheridan Police Department Lieutenant Andrew Conrad.
Conrad explains that that's when an outdated divorce decree came into the equation.
Conrad explains how the case will be handled since a divorce decree and child custody papers are a civil matter.
The Police Department at this time could not release any further information about the incident, as the case remains under investigation.
