Sheridan Planning Commission Recommends East 5th St. Corridor Plan for Approval

At their meeting Monday, the Sheridan City Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the East 5th Street Corridor Plan for approval by the city council.

Planning and Development Director for the City, Robert Briggs, says the extensive plan is a cohesive vision of policy ideas stemming from interviews with the public and stakeholders about what they'd like to see the corridor become someday. He explains the collaboration between the city, county and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

One concept within the plan includes installing ornamental lighting in the historic district and burying utility lines to meet the city's dark skies requirement. Briggs explains.

The East 5th Street Corridor Plan will now head to the Sheridan City Council for consideration. To read a copy of the extensive plan as it will be presented to the city council, click on the attachment below.
