Just before their meeting Monday night, the Sheridan City Planning Commission met with the Orion Planning Group's Joanne Garnett as she presented a potential draft version of a revised planned unit development ordinance. Garnett explains.
Members of the planning commission discussed removing redundancy within the ordinance and Garnett recommended clearing up the City's purpose statement for that type of development. Additionally, she recommended establishing a PUD district and removing what she called the confusing debate between "floating zones" and overlays.
Overall, the commissioners were in agreement that changes need to be made to the current ordinance.
