For the second straight year the Sheridan Police Department and Volunteers of America Northern Rockies joined forces to operate a holding facility for juvenile offenders during Rodeo weekend. Sheridan Police Lieutenant Andrew Conrad explains how the holding facility works.
Conrad says that having the holding facility helps free up officers for the bigger task of crowd control at the two nights of street dances in Downtown Sheridan.
The holding facility will be staffed by trained substance abuse clinicians and mentors who will monitor the juveniles throughout their stay at the facility. The holding facility will once again be located at the Masonic Lodge at 109 South Gould Street.
