Throughout the month of January, the Sheridan Municipal Court is offering an Amnesty Program.

The City of Sheridan Municipal Court Amnesty Program got underway Monday. The program is intended to collect payment of unpaid fines by providing a bit of a break for those with an outstanding debt to the Court. Court Manager Jenifer Shassetz explains how the Amnesty Program works.

Shassetz says that the fine has to be paid in full, and that there are a few other stipulations to getting the 50% reduction.

Jenifer said that in the over two decades of working for Sheridan Municipal Court, that this is the first time they have ever had a program such as this. The Amnesty Program will run through the end of the month.

Cash, money orders, checks and credit cards will be accepted during regular business hours at Sheridan Municipal Court. If you have any questions about the Amnesty Program, you can call Sheridan Municipal Court at 672-3188.
