At their latest meeting of Sheridan Memorial Hospital's Board of Trustees, CEO Mike McCafferty expressed interest in possibly offering urgent care services to the community. McCafferty says he's seen a need in the community for the service.
He said that this could allow for providing improved care for those patients who visit the emergency room because there's nowhere else to go.
Additionally, McCafferty said the hospital is in the process of hiring a number of physicians over the next year or two for the emergency room, internal medicine department, as well as obstetrics and gynecology doctors - among others.
