It's time once again to take a look back at some of the top news stories from this past week with the Sheridan Media Week in Review. After tabling the item two weeks ago at their last meeting, the the Sheridan City Council Monday night removed from the table the Cloud Peak Ranch 17th filing. The Council, after much discussion, elected to table the item once again, this time, indefinitely. Councilman John Heath.

Later afternoon Tuesday, Sheridan Police responded to several reports of male subjects in a white Plymouth passenger car driving around the business district brandishing and pointing a handgun at various persons and businesses along the way.

After officers located the vehicle, they initiated a high risk traffic stop in the 50 block area of East 14th Street. Sheridan Police lieutenant Chris Dahmke said that the car contained five male juveniles ranging in age from 14 to 16, and that a black Airsoft-type handgun was found in the vehicle. Lieutenant Dahmke says that the situation could have ended much worse than it did.
