Former Vice-President Dick Cheney, who recently underwent heart replacement surgery, spoke at the Wyoming State Republican Convention in Cheyenne over the weekend. Cheney received last minute clearance from his doctors late last week to attend the convention. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey, who was in attendance at the convention comments on Cheney's surprise visit.
Kinskey said that Cheney spoke for over an hour and that the crowd of more than 300 gave Cheney and his daughter, Liz Cheney, a long standing ovation. The Mayor didn't stop with the GOP State Convention either, after an early morning flight Sunday, Kinskey landed in Las Vegas for the National Association of Broadcasters annual convention.
The NAB conference runs through Thursday and we'll hear more from the Mayor this week on some of the various topics that are being addressed in the industry.
