A letter to the editor in the January 4th edition of the Sheridan Press was very critical of the Sheridan Police Department for a traffic stop that occurred on December 11th when a husband and wife from Cowley were en route to Sheridan Memorial Hospital. The couple were pulled over for speeding on 5th Street on their way to the hospital to see the wife's father, who had recently been placed on life support.
In the letter, the husband expressed that he'd explained to the officer who pulled him over for speeding that they were in a hurry to be by the side of his wife's ailing father, yet the officer continued to issue the speeding ticket, which he alleged took 10 to 15 minutes. During Thursday's Public Pulse program on News Talk 930 KROE, Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey responded to the letter to the editor by saying this.
