Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation Awards $20,000 in Grants

The Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Wyoming Community Foundation, has announced in a media release that they've awarded three different grants to Sheridan and Johnson County non-profits in the amount of $20,000.

Of the awards, $8,000 went to the Bethesda Worship Center to support Joseph's Storehouse Food Bank; $7,000 to support the Johnson County YMCA to replace much needed fitness equipment, and $5,000 to the Tongue River Child's Place to establish a scholarship fund which will assist families with limited financial resources to access quality child care and early childhood education.

The SJCF is an affiliate of the Wyoming Community Foundation, a statewide non-profit organization with total assets in excess of $72 million. Since its inception in 1989, the WYCF has made $35 million in grants to non-profits throughout the state, and averages $3 million in grants per year.
