Sheridan County Year in Review: October Through December

With today being the final day of 2012, we conclude our series on the year in review for Sheridan County with a look back at October through December. October was all about breast cancer awareness, as the 4th annual “Link-Partners in Pink,” breast cancer awareness walk/run was held in Sheridan. Hospital Foundation Director Ada Kirven.

In November, Decker Coal Company announced that they'd be laying off 75 employees at the Decker Coal Mine in mid January of 2013. Decker Coal released a brief statement in regard to the layoffs, stating that the announcement is part of the mines ongoing expense management activities.

Wyoming Whiskey made its public debut in December and didn't exactly experience a long shelf life. Star and T-and-C Liquors in Sheridan GM Danyelle Heide.

The Sheridan County Fair Board continued the discussion of an indoor arena at the Fairgrounds. Board Chairman Steve Eliason.
