The Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees met last night for their November meeting. Typically, the board meets on Tuesdays, but several members are going to be attending the State School Board meeting in Casper tomorrow, so they moved the November meeting to a day earlier.
The only action the board took was to re-appoint Roy Garber as the District's representative to the Whitney Board. Superintendent Sue Belish says that the board heard updates from the Big Horn side of the District.
The main part of the meeting was to hear about the Sky Titan Project, about which Belish says the District is quite excited.
Of course for the project to get, well, off the ground, the District will need to secure funding. This is an endeavor we will certainly be following, and Belish hopes that they can get it started either next summer or by the fall of the next school year.
December's District 1 board meeting will be held Tuesday the 21st.
