Friday, August 5th, the Sheridan County Museum will be holding its 4th annual “Brewing Up History Beer Tasting” fundraiser. Held on the front porch, Black Tooth Brewery will be the featured beer maker. Twenty-four other handpicked beers will also be served.
Museum Director Nathan Doerr says attendees can take a look at the new exhibit which features local historic stills.
Another interesting piece of history folks can page through is a ledger of “Prestone” transactions.
Prestone? How about moonshine? Folks will be able to flip through the ledger to see if they recognize family or neighbors. Doerr found an interesting one.
The $25 tickets for the “Brewing Up History Beer Tasting” are limited and go fast. Call the museum to reserve yours. Non-alcoholic beers along with a selection of sodas will also be available. Along with the refreshments, folks can enjoy food and live music. Friday's event will run from 6-9 p.m. The museum number is 675-1150.
