The Sheridan County Historical Society recently received a 1st place Chapter Award from the Wyoming State Historical Society for two summer programs at the Sheridan County Museum. Museum Director and Curator of Museum Education Nathan Doerr explains the two programs that landed the award.

The Young Archaeologists program is a week long history camp that explores the past and provides participants the opportunity to apply archaeological concepts as they investigate Plains Indian shelters. Doerr said that the $750 check that they received as part of the Chapter Award will help continue these two great programs at the Sheridan County Museum.
