Commissioners Hear Appeal on Inspection Fee

Most of Tuesday's Sheridan County Commission meeting focused on an appeal hearing from County resident Tracey Burke, who is seeking reimbursement for a $250 inspection fee of her septic system.

The fee was charged to Burke because a septic permit was not issued prior to SSR Construction beginning the project. Sheridan County Public Works Director Rod Liesinger.

No ruling was made after the hearing, as the Commissioners have 30 days to issue a written decision on the matter. Commissioners approved a grant award in amount of $6,167.13 from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security. The grant will be used by the Sheridan County Coroner. The vacation of a portion of 16th Street in Downer addition was postponed so that MDU and a homeowner can record a utility easement with the County. Commissioners will once again address the matter at their April 3rd meeting.
