Sheridan County Commission Holds Final Regular February Meeting

Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday considered and approved an FAA draft Grant Agreement for the upcoming rehabilitation project for Runway 14/32 at the Sheridan County Airport.

Commissioners considered and approved a 10' right-of-way variance on 15 Pine Lane, off Upper Road for property belonging to John and Candrice Sweem for developing a 2-lot subdivision. The following conditions apply: that building permits and inspections shall be required; and that a statement indicating that "Septic systems shall be designed by a professional licensed engineer" shall be added to the plat prior to submitting for signatures.

Commissioners considered and approved an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with TSP, Inc. for additional work on the Sheridan County Community Health Building. The work will include the addition of installation of a basement fire sprinkler, and exterior envelope improvements to get all electrical lines running to one meter, rather than the three currently in use.

Commissioners considered and approved a contract with WyDOT contractor McGarvin-Moberly Construction Company to crush gravel material in the Lower Wolf Creek pit for the North Main Project. The contract is a unit price contract at $8/cubic yard for a total estimated contract amount of $112,000.

Commissioners considered and approved contracting with CXT Incorporated of Spokane, WA for supply, delivery and installation of a vaulted restroom facility at the Kleenburn County Recreation Area in the amount of $32,499.33

Commissioners considered and approved two petitions to enter the Big Horn Rural Fire Protection Area; Commissioners considered and approved a temporary malt beverage dispensing permit for the annual Karz Club picnic to be held in Story, WY on July 4, 2010.

And Commissioners considered and approved a change order in the amount of $11,750 to the contract for the Courthouse Renovation project. Additional work is for window film and conduits for communications improvements; disability restroom grab bars and wall repair; replacement of cracked and damaged courtroom bench supports; and installation of a new fire damper access door.
