Sheridan County Commissioners made quick work of their agenda Tuesday morning, concluding the meeting in 17 minutes.
The Commission considered and approved an amendment to the Sheridan Area Rural Fire Protection District Lease in the Airport Business Park. The RFD and the financial institution they are funding their building through requested the amendment to give the Lender some right and protection in case of a default by the RFD in the terms and conditions of the Construction Loan.
The Commission considered and approved the lease agreement between County and Sign Products, Inc. for wall space in the Airport Terminal Building. Their rental rate is $125/month, which is an increase of 8.7%. The company leases the wall space for advertising signs.
Commissioners considered and approved a rental agreement for temporary use of the old Kentucky Fried Chicken property the County now owns. County Business Manager, Renee Obermueller, explains.
Also considered and approved: a Wyoming Game and Fish Department grant application for a CXT vaulted restroom facility to be put out at the newly established Kleenburn Recreation Area. County Engineer Ken Muller tells us.
The grant request is for $17,500, which is 50% of the estimated cost. Muller says they will put the project out for bid, and he hopes to have the restroom in as soon as the frost is out of the ground this spring. Because of the high use for ice fishermen, Muller says the facility may be open year-round, unlike the one at Tongue River Canyon which is seasonal.
And Commissioners considered and approved the appointment of Jeff Foster to the Sheridan County Fairboard. Foster is the Program Development Officer for RENEW, but has experience with livestock.
