Government officials from Sheridan County presented the program at Wednesday's Sheridan County Chamber Luncheon.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon Wednesday was a chance for those in attendance to hear an update on how the local governments within the County are doing. County Commission Chair Tom Ringley and Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey both talked about areas where the County and City have been more cautious with their spending since the downturn in the economy.

Also on hand for the luncheon were representatives from the other three municipalities in Sheridan County. Clearmont Clerk and Treasurer Annalea Redding says that despite some cuts, things are actually going pretty well for the Town.

Dayton Mayor Bob Wood pointed out how important the capital facilities tax has been for their community.

Ranchester Mayor Allan Moore said that preparations for an upcoming project along with planning for a big celebration this summers has been the focus of their government.

The Chamber will keep its focus on government this month, as the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee is sponsoring a special luncheon Wednesday March 23rd, with U.S. Senator Mike Enzi. We'll have more information on the special Chamber luncheon with the Senator as the date draws nearer.
