At Tuesday's Sheridan County Commission meeting, the Board unanimously approved a Budget Amendment Resolution to transfer unencumbered and unexpended funds.
County Business Manager Renee Obermueller says that they had approved a standard amendment budget, but per state statute, the County cannot have any department budget go over any approved budget. The transfer is an exercise to see how deficiencies can be covered. For example, she tells us.
Another substantial overage was to the County Attorney's budget, says Obermueller.
They also amended the Optional 1-Cent to transfer funds to contribute to the Green House for Living project, Obermueller adds that there were extra expenses to Emergency Management because of flooding, specifically to buy extra sand and to replace the motor on the sandbag loading equipment.
