75 years of airmail service in Sheridan will be celebrated tomorrow at the Sheridan County Airport with a number of events. Commemorative post cards will be for sale that will be airmailed to several different locations. Bruce Garber will be piloting one of the two airplanes that will be taking flight.
Hanley Cohen's father was the pilot of that first airmail delivery in Sheridan 75 years ago and Hanley will be on hand to offer a historical review. One of the organizers for the event, Edre Maier explains that the celebration is open to everyone.
The 75th anniversary celebration of airmail in Sheridan will begin tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock and will last until two in the afternoon at the Sheridan County Airport.
