Golfers in Sheridan will have one less place to swing the clubs this summer as the Sheridan Country Club has closed. It appears that a downturn in the economy has forced the members to dissolve the club and turn over the assets to First Interstate Bank. Established in 1920, the Sheridan Country Club was one of the oldest private golf clubs in Wyoming. The Country Club expanded to add a back 9 in the summer of 2010. Several calls to members in hopes of gathering more information about the closure were respectfully returned with “no comment”.
