Sheridan College is to receive money from the federal government as part of the 2009 federal stimulus bill. However, these funds, says College Interim President Jon Connolly, will be used in part to counteract state budget cuts
Dr. Connolly says the approximately $2.5 million of stimulus funds will, among other things, be used to update several science labs. He says they will also help renovate the Broadway Center in downtown Sheridan into a regional medical simulation center
And part of that real-life simulation will include things such as high-fidelity manequins, capable of physiological responses
Renovation of the medical simulation center will take place this summer and fall and is expected to begin in just under a year.
