Recently Sheridan College freshman Kate Barlow had the opportunity to attend the full session of the 2012 Legislature from February 10th to March 9th. Working as an intern, Barlow earned three college credits while performing her duties, as well as sitting in on committee meetings, visiting elected officials, and attending state banquets.
Commenting on her experience she said, “The experience, networking, and hands-on learning that I had the opportunity to experience were invaluable to me. This was a great stepping stone to hopefully intern in Washington DC someday. I would recommend this experience to every student.”
