Sheridan College received a $100,000 gift from alum Torrey Moody and his wife Karen Moody that will go toward the Large Animal Science Facility in north Sheridan. Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young.

Young points out the importance of having a large covered facility for the students of Sheridan College.

Young said that the 56,000 square foot facility would be used primarily by Sheridan College, however, it would also be available to hold community events as well. The total cost of the project is estimated at $3.5 million, with a capital campaign of $1.5 million. Sheridan College would like to break ground on the facility next spring, with hopes of having it complete before the fall 2013 semester.
